Could We be Regulated Out of Business

This is a very well written and informative article and I recommend anyone interested in Agriculture to keep up with this blog or similar sites.

Mrs. Nolz is talking about the proposition 2 in California that was passed, this requires the farming industry to increase space requirements for each animal this can be put many productions out of business because as we all know there is only so much room in California. Let alone California is already in a major budget deficit; the state is even writing IOU's for tax refunds to the residents.

The article goes on to explain HSUS not caring for animals which is a bit out of contexts. Just because the CEO of the company is not all adoring of animals it doesn't mean anything because he is hired to run a business not to baby every animal. Not to mention it is not relevant to the subject.

Key concepts:

HSUS is targeting Ohio next

California is already in trouble and proposition 2 just made it worse

Some thing to think about:

Europe imports 40% of their food due to overbearing regulations of production, are we moving in that direction? (Remember we import most of our oil and look where that left us).
